Hi! I’m Kate. I’m a licensed clinical social worker. I offer individual psychotherapy sessions online from anywhere in the state of Vermont, or in person in Montpelier. I have flexible evening and weekend availability.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and comfortable being yourself—while also feeling encouraged to grow. My approach is collaborative and thoughtful, with room for both reflection and challenge. I enjoy helping clients slow down, better understand themselves, and explore the patterns, thoughts, and experiences that may be influencing how they move through the world.

I don't believe therapy is about having all the answers. Instead, I see it as a space to become more curious about yourself, reconnect with what matters to you, and build greater confidence in navigating life's challenges. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from yourself, or simply looking for a deeper understanding of who you are, I aim to meet you where you are while helping you move toward meaningful change.

I strive to create a therapeutic relationship that feels genuine, down-to-earth, and free of judgment. My hope is that our work together gives you space to pause, reflect, challenge yourself, and move forward in a way that feels more aligned with the life you want to create.

Therapy may be the right fit for you if...

  • You spend a lot of time in your head and want to feel more connected to yourself.

  • You understand why you feel or behave a certain way, but still find yourself repeating the same patterns.

  • You are tired of overthinking every decision, interaction, or possible outcome.

  • You want to better understand your emotions instead of feeling controlled by them.

  • You often show up for everyone else but struggle to make space for your own needs.

  • You are navigating changes in your relationships, identity, career, or life direction.

  • You want to feel more confident setting boundaries without guilt.

  • You are looking for more than a place to vent—you want to be challenged, reflect, and create meaningful change.

  • You want to better understand what matters to you and make choices that feel aligned with your values.

  • You are ready to slow down, get curious about yourself, and explore how you want to move forward.

Fees & Insurance

Out of network:

  • I can provide you with a monthly statement called a superbill. You can submit this superbill to your insurance company to request partial reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs.

  • I recommended contacting your insurance to inquire about out of network benefits.

I believe quality mental health care should be accessible. To support this, I reserve a limited number of adjusted-rate slots for clients experiencing financial hardship. These slots are allocated based on financial need and current availability. If my standard fee is a barrier for you, please let me know during your consultation. We can discuss your circumstances to see if a sliding-scale rate is appropriate and currently open.
